Purpose of Meeting
Friends of the Library Event
Both Singapore and Malaysia are a mixture of the old and the new. Marilyn Hart (Professor Emerita, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and SOCC instructor) will talk about her recent trip to these two countries. That includes palaces, Taoist and Buddhist temples, a Jodie Foster movie, mosques, aquariums, orchid gardens, friendly locals, the tallest indoor waterfall in the world (inspired by Avatar’s Pandora) and monkeys. Woven in will be some history and a little bit of Thailand.
And please remember to donate your old books at the Annex so we can have a great book sale during the Azalea Festival.
