The two leading forces that shape a nation and it's culture is often War and Food but in this series of lectures and conversation we'll be focusing on the later. Once a month, partnered with the Spice Bags of the Month, Erik Dongelmans, local librarian and Global Studies graduate, will discuss how the cultural food staples, regionally avaliable spices, neighboring influences, and sometimes even political and religious pressures have formed a nation's culinary culture.
Each month's lecture will cover a new nation, or region, dependent on the Spice of the Month's origin. There will be time for Q&A after each lecture.
