Event Details
Kids and families are welcome to work alongside Curry County Master Gardeners™ to learn all about gardening.
We'll be meeting every Wednesday from 12:30pm to 2pm at Kalmiopsis Elementary School in Brookings to work in the Little Bear Patch Garden. Come prepared to see how a working garden operates as we water, till, and harvest. See worm composting bins in action. This is a fantastic opportunity for kids to learn from gardening experts with hands-on activities.
We will also be starting our own garden behind the Library Annex. Kids and families are welcome to travel back to the library or meet us there at 2pm to help our budding garden get off to a great start. We'll be planting seeds and starts, watering and weeding as we prepare for a late summer harvest.
Bring a water bottle and don't forget sunscreen and a hat if you desire. Gardening tools will be provided!
